01 · Name

Writing our name

In a sentence we're Ensure: a capital E, the rest lowercase. In contracts and fine print, our legal name is Ensure Financial LLC. Our website is ensure.financial.

The capitals and the period, ENSURE., belong to the logo only. Don't type them out in text, in a headline or in a file name.

03 · Color

Dark first, green for action

Our pages, posts and slides sit on Abyss and Navy, with Paper text. Signature green is for action: the main button, the step you're on, and the period in our logo. Text on green is always Navy. Blue is the light inside our cards; keep it for accents.

Abyss
RGB 0 10 34
The background of everything.
Navy

Pairs that read well

Paper on Abyss 17.5 : 1 Ink on Navy 12.2 : 1 Navy on green 9.1 : 1 Steel on Abyss 7.7 : 1 Navy on Paper 15.7 : 1

Green on white (1.9 : 1) and Blue on white (3.5 : 1) are too faint for text.

04 · Type

Archivo, with a little mono

We set everything in Archivo, a free font with a width axis. Headlines run heavy and narrow; body text runs regular and wide open. Small labels use JetBrains Mono, in capitals. Where neither font is available, as in email, use Arial.

05 · Voice

Plain words, sober claims

  1. Lead with what the client gets.“Turn your spend into profit.” Control over spend, and a reward for it, come first. The card program is how it works, not the headline.
  2. Say it in plain words.Rules read like sentences: “Up to the invoice amount.” “A second approver above $25,000.” No jargon where a short word will do.
  3. Keep claims sober.Rewards depend on program terms, and we say so. Simulated figures are labeled as simulated. Ensure is a program manager, not a bank.
  4. Our AI suggests. You decide. Our AI points things out. People make the call, and we never write it the other way around.
  5. It's our bank. Our sponsor bank is part of what we offer. Write “our bank” or “our sponsor bank”, never “your bank”.
  6. Partners get a proposal, not a pitch.Writing for banks and partners, be specific and calm: what we do, what they do, what it takes. Leave out hype about upside.

06 · Card

The card and the network

Our cards are Mastercard commercial cards: deep blue glass, the wordmark top left, and the card's purpose in plain words on its face.

  • The Mastercard symbol appears on the card and beside the words “Mastercard network”. It's never a sponsor banner or decoration.
  • Use Mastercard's official artwork, unaltered, and follow Mastercard's brand standards.
  • Card art and card marketing go to our bank for review before they're used.

The disclosure

Wherever our cards or rewards appear, in a post, a deck or an email, add this line:

Ensure Financial LLC is a program manager, not a bank. Cards are issued by a U.S. sponsor bank pursuant to a license by Mastercard International Incorporated. Cash back depends on program terms. Mastercard and the circles design are registered trademarks of Mastercard International Incorporated.

07 · Imagery

Show the product working

Our pictures are the product itself: the program sheet, the card, and a month of payments running. Figures in them come from the simulation, and they say so.

Example post: Turn your spend into profit, with a program sheet running a simulated month of supplier payments. Example post: A card for every payment, with a stack of Ensure virtual cards. Example post: Cards for the crew, rules on every card, with the team cards program sheet.

About Ensure

For press and partner pages:

Ensure Financial LLC runs commercial card programs on the Mastercard network, for a company's own spend or for the businesses it serves. Supplier payments each get their own virtual card, and people in the field and on the road get budgeted cards, virtual or physical. Every card follows rules written in plain words, and the spend a business already has can earn rewards under its program's terms. Ensure is based in Reston, Virginia. Ensure Financial LLC is a program manager, not a bank; cards are issued by a U.S. sponsor bank pursuant to a license by Mastercard International Incorporated.
